STUDENT VISA

The British Department of Immigration requires that students attend at least a Seven-month course for a minimum of 15 classroom hours per week to obtain a student visa. The School will provide a letter of registration to students who have paid their fees. It is important to present this letter to the proper British Embassy when applying for a student visa. Please e-mail us if you have any questions regarding your visa application.

AIRPORT TRANSFER

The School has its own transfer service for students arriving at Heathrow Airport. The student is welcomed by one of the school’s staff. We transport the student directly to his or her accommodation.
There is a small charge for this service.

BANK ACCOUNT

Recent changes in banking procedures have made opening a UK account difficult. The School will assist eligible students with all the advice they need on how to meet requirements and open an account.
Useful tip: If you already have a bank account in your country, it can help you when you want to open a bank account in the UK. Don’t close it before you come to England, and bring all your bank account details. Ask your bank to send a statement to your UK address.

AGE

The normal minimum age for any student at the school is 17 years of age.  However, in specific instances if a parent or responsible adult accompanies a student under this age, they may study at the school.  Please contact the school for more details.  Parents with children may normally enrol their children in local schools provided at least one parent has a student visa.

HEALTH INSURANCE

A tourist type visa is normally issued for those staying in the UK for up to six-months.  This visa does not allow the possibility of working or registering with a local doctor.  For those staying in the UK for less than six months, private health insurance is strongly recommended.

WORK

Students granted a student visa for longer than six months are legally allowed to work 20 hours per week in the United Kingdom.  It is important however that students arrive with sufficient money (cash or confirmed credit card facility) to live here for at least six months without working.  Students need to understand that they should not rely upon work in the United Kingdom as their total means of financial support.
